Samba is the heartbeat of Brazil. More than just a musical genre, it is a historical construction born in the terreiros and professionalized in the great arenas. Today, this culture manifests itself in various forms: from Samba de Rodawith its ancestry and connection, to Samba no Péwhich demands technique, posture, and the vigor that the Rio de Janeiro Carnival exports to the world. For Brazilians, dancing samba is a way of expressing identity and resistance through movement.
It is with this focus on technique and history that Paris welcomes the choreographer and dancer Alessandra Cabral. With a established career in the Rio Carnival, Alessandra brings to France the experience of someone who lives both the backstage and the front line of the world's greatest party. Her approach goes beyond choreography; her work seeks to convey the foundations and the evolution of samba, ensuring the dance is performed with authenticity.
On April 18th, the Studio Juste Debout will be the meeting point for this cultural immersion. The masterclasses have been divided to cater to both beginners and those who already have a background in dance.

Saturday, April 18th, 2026
- 3 PM – 4:30 PM | Beginner Samba: Introduction to fundamental steps, body awareness, and rhythm. Ideal for those seeking a solid foundation.
- 4:30 PM – 6 PM | Intermediate/Advanced Samba: Technical refinement, speed, and performance nuances designed for those who have already mastered the basics.
