Imersão Carnaval 2026: Os bastidores

If we had to summarize Carnival 2025 Immersion in a single word, it would be unforgettable. But, let’s be honest, it would be unfair to stop there. What we experienced in Rio de Janeiro went far beyond a tourist itinerary or a cultural program — it was a visceral immersion, a deep dive into the rhythm and the soul of the "Cidade Maravilhosa" (Marvelous City).

The Body as Language: The Art of Movement

From the first rays of sunrise, our participants dove headfirst into the universe of Brazilian dances. Our workshops were not just classes, but gateways to the diversity of Brazil’s urban and popular cultures:

  • Samba: O coração batendo no pé.
  • Afro: a deep connection with ancestry.
  • Passinho: A energia frenética e moderna das comunidades.

Every step learned was an invitation to understand the spirit of Brazilian dance: something collective, vibrant, and visceral.

Did you know?

Samba was born at the beginning of the 20th century in Rio, the fruit of African traditions. Today, it is the greatest symbol of national identity and, during carnival, it literally heals and transforms the city.

Inside the Myth: Alessandra Cabral's Direction

Magic doesn't happen by chance. One of the highlights of the experience was the preparation for the parade, under the watchful and talented eye of choreographer Alessandra Cabral.

Rehearsing together, fine-tuning the choreography, and feeling the anticipation grow each day was a transformative experience. There, we stopped being mere spectators and became true members of a samba school, living the carnival from the inside out.

The Big Moment: 700 Meters of Pure Adrenaline

And then, the asphalt of the Marquês de Sapucaí was waiting for us. Parading in the Sambódromo is a sensory experience that is difficult to put into words. Your heart races to the rhythm of the bateria, the stands vibrate like a living organism, and suddenly, you are part of the “Greatest Show on Earth.

  • A Stage for Geniuses: The Sambadrome was designed by the master Oscar Niemeyer and inaugurated in 1984.
  • Global impact: São mais de 70,000 people. cheering live and millions more following every detail around the world.

Beyond the Feathers: Historical and Natural Rio

Rio doesn't only pulse on the avenue. Between rehearsals, we explored the nuances of this fascinating city.

  • The Morro da Urca Trail: A challenge for your stamina (we won’t lie, it takes a bit of sweat!), but the reward is absolute: one of the most iconic views of Guanabara Bay, with Sugarloaf Mountain guarding the horizon.
  • Imperial Heritage: Did you know that Rio was the capital of the Portuguese Empire? In 1808, the royal family fled from Lisbon to here, making Rio the only European capital outside of Europe in all of history.

A Piece of the Carioca Soul in Your Suitcase

A Carnival 2025 Immersion It wasn’t just a vacation. It was a human and artistic encounter where each participant took home more than just photos: they took a piece of the resilience and joy of the Carioca people.

The truth is simple: after experiencing Carnival from the inside, you will never look at the world the same way again.

And you, are you ready to feel this rhythm in 2027? 🥁✈️
